Event Overview

Join us for our 2nd annual Iredell Crosby Scholars 5K!

Race Details

• Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026
• Time: Race Check-In: 7:30-8:45 AM. Race Begins: 9:00 AM
• Parking: Gravel lot across from the Troutman Town Hall or Troutman ESC Park. No parking permitted at the Troutman Town Hall lot.
• Chip Timing: This will be a chip timed event by New and Old-Timers LLC with a new race course.

Important Information

• Weather: Event is rain or shine!!!
• Strollers & Pets: Jogging strollers and pets are welcome. Pets must be on a leash at all times.
• Financial Aid: If the registration fee presents a financial hardship, please contact Jennifer Christian at jchristian@crosbyscholarsiredell.org for a coupon code.
• Registration Perk: All runners registered before 10/24/26 are guaranteed our race t-shirt!!!

Event Festivities

• Activities: Join us for a day of festivities!
• Food & Drink: Coffee provided by the Becky's Brews food truck.
• Kids Friendly: Face painting and yard games available.
• Post-Race: Enjoy fruit, snacks, cheer teams, and awards for our top male and female finishers in multiple categories!!!

About Us

Iredell Crosby Scholars Community Partnership is a nonprofit 501(c)3 college access organization that was formed in 2015. Our purpose: to prepare students academically, financially, and personally for life after high school.

Impact

Race funds and donations will be used to support Crosby middle and high school students with:

• Career Exploration: Exploring careers and resume and interview preparation
• College Preparation: College list creation, college application support, and college tours
• Application Assistance: College essay review and ACT/SAT test preparation
• Financial Guidance: Scholarship and financial aid support, FAFSA guidance, and time management tips.
• Advising: One-on-one advising and leadership opportunities.
