50th Annual Race for the Grasshopper 5K

This is a special year for 2 reasons, this is the 50th Annual Race for the Grasshopper 5K as well as our country's 250th year anniversary! This is a special year for this event and we will treat it as such. Please get registered early because it will sell out. We are looking at some special medals or prizes for this years event!

Historical Context

At the close of the Battle of Cowpens in 1781, two American officers—confident in victory—raced for the ultimate prize, a British three-pounder cannon, called the “Grasshopper.”

• Race Day Packet Pickup: Saturday, January 10th, 7:00 AM - 8:15 AM at Cowpens Battlefield Office parking lot

• No Race Day Sign Up: Registration will not be available on race day.
• Refunds/Deferrals: We will not be able to offer refunds or deferrals due to potential weather issues in January.

• Course Description: The course is a single loop on the paved road at Cowpens Battlefield.
