Event Overview
Join us for a Fun Run (5k, 10k, Half Marathon or virtual run/walk) to raise crucial funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)- Now called Blood Cancer United in Honor of Bert Vicchio (Bertman)- race director's (Lianne Vicchio) dad. The fight to terminate blood cancer is ongoing and funds raised from the race will be donated to Blood Cancer United.
Location
- Where: Historic Folsom Station North Park and Ride (diagonal from Practical Cycle on Leidnesdorff and Folsom Blvd, at the end of the light rail station and the parking garage).
- Course: The race will be on the American River Bike Trail.
Date and Time
- When: Saturday January 17th, 2026 at 8:00am.
Course Description
- Type: This is an out and back course on the American River Trail starting at the park and ride lot.
- Note: THIS COURSE IS open and available to other river parkway users. PLEASE always stay to the left as walkers/runners on the bike trail.
- Aid Stations: There will be an aid station at the 10k turn around and another at the Half marathon turnaround. No aid station for the 5k course.
- Facilities: There is NO official BATHROOM at race start, please plan accordingly. There are bathrooms on course/on the bike trail as well as surrounding businesses.
Packet and Bib Pick-Up
- Timing: Packet/Bib Pick-up is DAY OF ONLY. Starting at 6:55am, on 1/17/26 at the Park and Ride lot. There are no official timing chips. Times will be logged manually.
- Future Plans: We hope in future years as this fundraiser grows, we will be able to add official timing to this race.
Event Amenities
- Goodie Bags: Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats (donuts, coffee, bananas, muffins, tangerines, water, and Gatorade) will be ready for you at check-in.
- Medals: Medals will be awarded to all participants.
- Awards: Awards (Fleet Feet Folsom/Roseville is sponsoring with gift cards) will be handed out to the 1st place male and female in the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon.
- Collecting Awards: NO medals, awards, or shirts will be mailed out if not collected on race day.
