The vision of Run 4 the Love LLC and Fitness with Friends is to help communities become healthy, fit, and happy by providing coaching, clinics, and classes for everyone young and old. We also have had a dream of bringing a 5k race to River Vale which we first did in the Fall of 2022. And now again, we want River Vale with its picturesque streets, small hometown feel, and vibrant community spirit, to be the star of this brand new 3.1-mile journey with our very first Turkey Trot.
Why Join Our Turkey Trot 5K This Year?
- Healthy Start: Running (or walking!) the Turkey Trot is the perfect way to kick off Thanksgiving. You’ll feel energized, burn some calories, and head into the big meal guilt-free.
- Fun for All: Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just want to stroll with family, the Turkey Trot welcomes everyone. Strollers, costumes, and festive spirit are highly encouraged!
- Community Spirit: This race isn’t just about running—it’s about bringing neighbors, friends, and families together. We hope this Trot becomes a local tradition that creates lasting memories.
- Good Cause: Proceeds from the event will go to Helping Hand Food Pantry. Every step you take makes a difference for people in need right here in our community.
Prizes & Fun
- Awards: Age group awards will be given. Plus, you’ll enjoy music, cheering, and a warm community atmosphere.
- Tradition: Once you’ve done it, you’ll want to come back year after year. The Turkey Trot is the type of tradition that kids, families, and friends look forward to every holiday season.
- Timing: This run will be timed electronically and populated into our database.
- Gift Cards: $100 VISA Gift Cards will be awarded for 1st Place Male Adult Racer, 1st Place Female Adult Racer, and 1st Place 13 and Under Racer.
Event Details
- Date & Time: November 27, 2025, Registration begins at 7:00 AM: Race starts at 8:00 AM.
- Location: Mark Lane Sports Complex, River Vale, NJ.
- Fees: Adult Fee: $25: Child Fee: $15. Registration Fee will increase after November 20.
- Shirt Guarantee: Registrants must register by November 15 to be guaranteed a commemorative River Vale Turkey Trot T-shirt.
Supporting the Community
Profits will be donated to the Helping Hand Food Pantry located in Hillsdale, NJ.
The Helping Hand Food Pantry is a non-profit charitable organization serving approximately 1252 neighbors every month, including senior citizens, the disabled, active military members, and veterans.
Donations are accepted during open times or non-perishable foods can be placed in the covered outdoor receptacles at any time. The pantry serves community members from multiple towns, including Emerson, Hillsdale, Oradell, Montvale, and River Vale.
