Honoring Service

Lace up your running shoes and join us for a day of celebration, remembrance, and community pride at the Inaugural Glen Oaks Magnet High School Army JROTC 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This special event is dedicated to honoring the Military, Cadets, Community and Veterans of the Baton Rouge community—the men and women whose service and sacrifice inspire us all.

Support for Cadets

This isn’t just a race—it’s a commitment to the future. All proceeds will directly benefit the Cadets of the Glen Oaks Magnet High School Army JROTC Program, giving them the resources to participate in life-changing Service Learning projects, leadership training, and competitive events across the JROTC national community. These opportunities strengthen their character, sharpen their skills, and prepare them to become leaders both in our community and beyond.

Community Rally

At the same time, the event serves as a rally point for the Baton Rouge community. Together, we will celebrate our Military, Cadets, Community and Veterans, encourage health and wellness, and build bonds of unity across generations. Every step you take supports not only our Cadets’ growth but also the spirit of service and resilience that defines Baton Rouge.
