Join us for an exciting event that combines fitness, faith, and fun! Lace up your sneakers and get ready to run or walk for a good cause. The Pelham Strong Walk & 5K will take place at Pelham City Park located at 2020 Ball Park Road, Pelham, AL, USA. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. This race is organized by Pelham Strong.

• Date: April 18, 2026
• Location: 2020 Pelham Park Blvd, Pelham, AL
• Start Times:
• 8:00 AM - 5K
• 9:00 AM - 1-mile fun run or walk
• Awards:
• 9:30 AM - 1-mile awards/recognition
• 9:45 AM - 5K awards/recognition

Registration Information

• Early Registration: Receive $5 off through March 31st.
• Pre-Race Registration: Visit Pelham Public Library on April 17th from 1 PM - 4 PM.
• On-Site Registration: Begins at 7:00 AM on race day (Cashless - Credit Card Only).
• Virtual Participants: You will receive the medal and event T-shirt (optional) by mail.

Awards and Age Categories

5K & Walk -- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medals will be awarded to the fastest times of both male and female participants in the following age categories:

• 19 and under
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+

Water Stations

Located at the Start/Finish line and throughout the course.

Homerun Derby Order of Events

• 10:00 AM: Pelham Police Department vs Pelham Fire Department
• Followed by: Pelham Rec Baseball 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U
• Ending with: 18+
• Pelham Rec Coaches: 2:00 PM approximately - 18+ OVER THE FENCE (200 feet) distance (wooden bats only)

Important Notes

• Helmet Requirement: Participating hitters will need to provide their own helmets.
• Age Determination: Based on age as of April 18, 2026.
• Cancellation Statement: Entry fee is non-refundable: event will occur rain or shine.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go to the Pelham Park & Rec Foundation.
