Event Information

• Location: Pelham City Park located at 2020 Ball Park Road, Pelham, AL, USA.
• Date: April 18, 2026
• Age Range: Open to people of all ages and fitness levels.
• Organized By: Pelham Strong.

Schedule of Events

• 8:00 AM: 5K begins
• 9:00 AM: 1-mile fun run or walk
• 9:30 AM: 1-mile awards/recognition
• 9:45 AM: 5K awards/recognition

Awards

5K & Walk -- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medals will be awarded to the fastest times of both male and female participants in the following age categories:

• 19 and under
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+

What's Included

• Finisher Medal: Awarded to all participants.
• Individually Numbered Bib: For identification during the race.
• Chip Timed: Official race time recorded.
• Event T-shirt: Optional with registration.

Virtual Participants

You will receive by mail the medal (5K or 1M) and event T-shirt (optional).

Pre-Race Registration and Packet Pick-up

• Location: Pelham Public Library, 2000 Pelham Park Blvd, Pelham, AL 35124.
• Date: Friday April 17th from 1PM until 4PM
• Cashless Registration: On-site registration will be cashless (Credit Card Only).
• Speed Up Process: Please register prior to arriving.

Race Day Registration

For those who are not able to attend pre-race registration and packet pick-up, this will begin promptly at 7:00 AM on Saturday April 18, 2026 near the start/finish line at the Pelham City Park.

Water Stations

Located at the Start/Finish line and throughout the course.

Homerun Derby Order of Events

• 10:00 AM: Pelham Police Department vs Pelham Fire Department
• Followed By: Pelham Rec Baseball 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U
• Ending With: 18+
• Time for Coaches: 2:00 PM approximately - 18+ OVER THE FENCE (200 feet) distance (wooden bats only).

Important Notes

Participating hitters must provide their own helmets (mandatory), and all bats will be inspected to ensure they meet league regulations. Each participant will receive 1 minute to hit as many home runs as possible, with one 30-second break allowed. Age classification is based on the day of the event, April 18, 2026. All rounds will take place on Field 4 at the Pelham City Park.

Cancellation Statement

Your entry fee is non-refundable. This event will occur rain or shine, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds, rather, your entry fee will be used as a donation to the Pelham Park & Rec Foundation.

Proceeds

All proceeds from this event will go to the Pelham Park & Rec Foundation and used to provide assistance to families for rec sports registration costs and/or equipment for players.
