About the Event
- Community Focus: This is a community event open to all people, of all fitness levels, from the novice to the hardcore athlete.
- Fundraising: This event raises funds for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy.

- Returning Features: The BeastLake is back for the 8th year with new twists along with favorite obstacles from past years.
Race Highlights
- Stay Cool Option: Includes a ‘slip n slide” type water slide down part of the course.
- Balance Beam: An option to do the balance beam over an inflatable pool.
- Sprinkler Section: An option to run through a section of sprinklers midway through the race.
- Optional Features: All water features are OPTIONAL and designed to bring additional fun to the race.
Food and Refreshments
- Food Trucks: We will also be having food trucks at this year’s race.
- Vouchers: Registered 5KOC and 5K participants will receive food vouchers.
- Variety: Enjoy a variety of food options available at the event.
- Community Experience: Celebrate with fellow participants and enjoy great food after the race.
