The Spilman Thomas & Battle Jaunt for Justice 5K

The Jaunt for Justice 5K, presented by Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC, is an annual fundraiser to benefit Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley (LASRV). We invite both runners and walkers to register to participate in our 7th annual 5K at the Roanoke River Greenway at River's Edge Sports Complex - North in Roanoke, Virginia!

Important Dates

• Registration Deadline: Friday, September 18th to be guaranteed a race T-shirt!
• Packet Pickup: Friday, October 2nd, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Runabout Sports Roanoke.
• Race Day: In-person race begins at 8:30 a.m. Onsite packet pickup/registration will be available from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.
• Fun Run: A 0.5K Fun Run for the kiddos begins at 8:10 a.m., prior to the start of the 5K race.

Ceremonies and Raffles

• Medal Ceremony: For the 5K will begin at 9:20 a.m.
• Raffle Prizes: Amazing prizes donated by local businesses will be raffled after the medal ceremony. Each participant in the in-person 5K will receive one entry into the raffle.
• Additional Entries: Can be purchased on the day of the race at the registration table. You must be present to win.
• Post-Race Treats: RND Coffee will provide hot coffee and freshly made donuts after the race!

About LASRV

• Beneficiary: All net proceeds from The Spilman Thomas & Battle Jaunt for Justice 5K benefit The Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
• Mission: LASRV provides legal services to individuals who cannot afford them, protecting marginalized individuals from abuse and exploitation.
• Community Support: For over fifty years, LASRV has represented clients in courts, provided training, and advocated for under-served communities.
• Legal Issues: Focus areas include domestic violence, consumer fraud, and landlord-tenant disputes.

Virtual Participation

If you are unable to participate in the run/walk in person, we invite you to sign up for the Virtual Jaunt instead. Participants who register for the Virtual Jaunt for Justice 5K will not be chip-timed and will not be competing for a medal, but will still receive a race packet with event T-shirt and race bib.
