Register now for the 21st Annual Chunky Monkey Run on Sunday, July 20, 2025! This summer favorite is a fantastic addition to your seasonal activities. Whether you choose the 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk, or Kids' K, there’s an event for everyone! Join hundreds of participants on this fast and flat loop course in the North Valley's heart.

📅 Event Schedule

• Event Location: Valley High School, 1505 Candelaria Rd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107
• Race Date: July 20, 2025
• 10K Start: 8:00 A.M.
• 5K Start: 8:15 A.M.
• Kids K Start: 9:15 A.M.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: July 19, 2025
• Time: 11:00 - 3:00 P.M.
• Location: Fleet Feet Sports, North Towne Plaza, 5901 Wyoming Suite R, Albuquerque NM 87109
• Note: Race-day registration is available: however, all pre-registered participants must pick up their event packets at packet pickup.

🏃‍♀️ Virtual Run/Walk

All registered participants may pick up their event packet (Event Bib and T-Shirt at the time and location listed above, “Packet Pickup.” For those who purchased the “shipping”, your race swag will be mailed out beginning July 14, 2025, and will continue as registrations come in.

🚗 Parking

• Location: Parking is available at Valley High School and Griegos Elementary School.
• Instructions: Please enter the parking lot via Candelaria Blvd. only.
• Note: Do not park on Valley Pool Rd or along the race route.
• Timing: Arrive between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

⏱️ Start Time

All events will start on or near the Valley H.S. Track. The Finish is located at the Griegos Elementary School Field just north of Valley Pool Road. All participants MUST wear a timing chip/bib to be factored into the results and be eligible for Overall and Age Group Awards.

🛡️ Participant Safety

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously. This includes following all instructions from event officials and adhering to local health guidelines.

✨ Course Monitoring

Participants must adhere to course rules, and any unsportsmanlike behavior may lead to disqualification. Participants cannot leave the course and return to gain an advantage.

💧 Medical Support

Medical staff will be available on-site to assist you at any time. Please notify event officials if you have any health concerns during the race.

📜 FAQs

• iPod/Headphones: Yes, but athletes competing for prize money cannot use them.
• GPS Devices: Yes, participants may wear GPS watches.
• Lost & Found: Yes, available on race day: call 505.217.4774 if you're missing an item.
• Packet Pickup: A friend can pick up your packet if you cannot attend.

🌦️ Inclement Weather Policy

The Race Director will monitor weather conditions leading up to the event. Possible actions include altering start times or cancellation.

🍌 Post Race

Refreshments provided by RunFit will be available after the race. Results will be posted to www.irunfit.org.
