🏃♂️ ALBU-QUIRKY RUN
The inaugural Albu-Quirky Run is an event you won’t want to miss! Whether you run or walk the 8K, 5K, or Kids K, this event is perfect! It starts and finishes at Tiguex Park. All participants receive a custom finisher medal and event tee shirt. Age group and overall awards will be presented at the finish.

- Awards Ceremony: Immediately following Kids K
⏰ EVENT SCHEDULE
- 8K Start: 10:00 A.M.
- 5K Start: 10:10 A.M.
- Kids K Start: 11:10 A.M.
- Packet Pickup: March 1, 2025, from 11:00 to 3:00 P.M.
🚗 PARKING
- Paid Parking: Available on the west side of 19th Street
- Free Parking: Available at the Explora Museum
- Parking Prohibition: Avoid parking on the course and adjacent streets
- Access to Explora Museum: Approach from the west on Mountain Road starting at 12th Street
🏁 START INFORMATION
- 5K Start: On Mountain Rd., just NW of Tiguex Park.
- 8K Start: On 19th Street, just SW of Tiguex Park.
- Kids K Start: On 19th St. directly west of Finish.
- Reminder: Gun Start with a Timing Chip/Bib finish
💼 EVENT DAY CONDUCT
All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously. This includes prohibitions against alcohol consumption, public urination, and obstruction of the course. Violators may be disqualified.
🩹 MEDICAL SUPPORT
Medical staff will be available to assist participants throughout the event. Please notify race officials if you need help at any time.
🏆 Awards and Results
- Overall Prizes: Top three men and women for the 8K and 5K
- Age Group Prizes: Categories defined for both events
- Kids K: All participants receive a special recognition award
- Post-Race Refreshments: Provided by RunFit
❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Headphones: Allowed as per USATF guidelines
- GPS Devices: Allowed, but do not count as second timing devices
- Strollers: Allowed with proper registration and safety considerations
- Time Limit: 1:45:00 for course completion
