Race Overview

Get ready to race, celebrate, and be inspired at the JT-5000 5K, 1 Mile, and Kids K on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Expo New Mexico! This special event honors the legacy of Joe Tassone—a retired Air Force E-9 Master Sergeant and beloved local running coach who dedicated nearly two decades to mentoring and inspiring runners throughout the community.

• Race options: 5K, 1 Mile, Kids K, and One Medal Combo
• Prize: $400 winner-take-all for the first place male and female in the One Medal Combo
