Introducing our annual Dark Horse Ultra, we invite runners to the Tryon Equestrian Center boasting 200 acres of land and equestrian activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Explore Tryon, North Carolina's scenic beauty and diverse natural setting, offering trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Tryon Equestrian Center features state-of-the-art facilities for equestrian events, competitions, training, and amenities for riders and spectators.

  • Half Marathon @ 7:30am

• Parking: Follow specific instructions for designated participant parking at the Equestrian Center.

• Packet Pickup: 1 hour prior to your event at the Start/Finish Line.

• Amenities include: Breakfast Diner, Coffee Shop, Convenient Store, Bars/Restaurants, Indoor Bathrooms

Participants Receive

All participants will receive a finisher medal, custom stickers, race bib, crew socks, race photos, and enjoy music at the start and finish lines.

🗺️ Course Description - Course Map

The course features a 6.5-mile loop through the equestrian center with varied terrains and scenic views, including 600 feet of elevation gain per loop.

Aid Station

One aid station at the start/finish line providing various food and drink options. Cup-less event, bring your own hydration vessel.

Staging Area - Camping and Personal Aid Station

Camping available for participants and crew members with drop bag facilities at the start/finish line area.
