Location: 801 Front Ave, Columbus, GA

Event Overview

TriCity Area: Home to long distance triathlons, sprints, olympics, duathlons, adventure races, and off-road duathlons.
Course Features: 4-6ft down river swims, fast and flat bike course, and flat scenic run course.
Participants: Suitable for both beginners and advanced triathletes.
Race Atmosphere: Triathlons, especially Sprint races, should be fun and fast!

Event Details and Schedule

Start Time: 7:30am Sprint Triathlon, 7:45am Duathlon
Packet Pick-up: T-shirts are not guaranteed for those who register race day or race week.
Friday Pick-up: At Brickyard Bike Co, 507 Dillingham St, Phenix City, AL from 4pm - 6:00pm.
Saturday Pick-up: At transition from 5:30am - 7:00am.

The Swim

Distance: 500m downstream.
Water Depth: Approximately 4-6 ft deep; shallower closer to shore.
Slide Start: All entries down the water slide must be feet first—no exceptions.
Start Method: Conducted in a "time-trial" fashion with athletes starting one at a time.

The Bike

Distance: 10 miles.
Course Description: Very fast and flat out and back course.
Course Start/End: Begins and ends on Brickyard Road.
Scenery: Enjoy the beautiful surroundings while racing.

The Run

Distance: 3.1 miles.
Course Type: Very flat 1-loop course.
Aid Station: Locations approximately 200 yds out of transition, passed twice.
Course Layout: Designed for smooth and efficient running.

Awards

Categories: Male/Female: Under 14, then 15-19 in 5 year increments up to 70+
Overall Awards: Top 3 overall Male/Female and top 3 in age group.
Relay Awards: Top 3 teams.
Participation Gifts: Each participant receives a cool medal and t-shirt; triathletes will receive a swim cap.

Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, there are no "rain dates" for TriColumbusGA events. If the conditions are hazardous, Race Management has the right to change or eliminate parts of the course or delay the start. If it is deemed too dangerous to race, the event will be canceled and there will be no refunds. Our primary concern is your safety.

Refunds Policy

We do not offer refunds for races. With supporting documentation and under extreme circumstances, you may contact tricolumbusga@gmail.com to see if a deferral is possible.
