The Howl-O-Sprint Returns for Year Three

On Friday, September 18, 2026, as night falls over SeaWorld Orlando, the shadows come alive. Step into the only nighttime terror run of its kind — Howl-O-Sprint 5K — where relentless creatures stalk your every step and whispers of curses hang in the air.

Race past roller coasters haunted by unspeakable horrors. Navigate eerie landscapes and harrowing scare zones lurking in the park’s darkest corners. Every stride is a fight-or-flight moment… and the finish line may be your only escape.

After you survive, celebrate your victory at the exclusive post-race party — open only to runners and a limited number of spectators — until 11:00 p.m.

Important Notes

• Mature Audience: Howl-O-Scream is intended for a mature audience and contains intense adult content including violence, gore, and blood.
• Event Timing: Event starts at 7:00 PM. Parking lot for racers opens at 5:30 PM.
• Event Changes: Event dates and details are subject to change and/or cancellation without prior notice.
• Costumes: No costumes allowed.

5K Event Night Timeline

• 5:00 PM: Parking lot opens for participants
• 5:30 PM: Registration and Packet Pickup opens
• 6:30 PM: Parking lot closes - please plan to be onsite at least 45 minutes prior to race start!
• 7:00 PM: START of the Howl-O-Sprint 5K

5K Race Amenities

• Celebration: Join us as we celebrate Howl-O-Scream in Orlando and be a part of year 3 of Howl-O-Sprint 5K.
• Finisher's Medal: SeaWorld's Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run Finisher's medal for all run participants.
• Commemorative T-Shirt: Commemorative SeaWorld Howl-O-Sprint Run Race T-shirt (adult sizes & unisex).
• Post-Race Celebration: Finish Line Post-Race Celebration will include Howl-O-Scream bar and food, live entertainment.

Race T-Shirts

All participants who register for SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run will receive a 100% ring-spun soft cotton unisex t-shirt. Must register by Saturday, September 4th to be guaranteed your shirt size.

Finisher Medals

All PAID participants in the 5K event will receive a custom Inaugural SeaWorld's Howl-O-Sprint finisher medal. The 5K Race will be capped at 2,000 race participants!

5K Race Awards

Awards will go to the top 3 overall Male and Female finishers only in the SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run event. Awards will be as follows:

• 1st Place: Gold - $100 Gift Card to Howl-O-Scream Gift Shop
• 2nd Place: Silver - $75 Gift Card to Howl-O-Scream Gift Shop
• 3rd Place: Bronze = $50 Gift Card to Howl-O-Scream Gift Shop

Weather & Safety Information

Races will be held rain or shine, however, if there is severe weather in the area the race start may be delayed or cancelled. As a reminder, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Total race capacity: 2,000 participants

• In-Person Registration: $85.00 through September 4, 2026
• Annual Passholder: $66.66 through September 4, 2026
• Spectator Tickets: $25.00 through 7/8/26
• Virtual Participation: $100 thru 9/18/2026 at 12:01am [if not sold out]

Packet Pickup Information

When: Tuesday, September 15th and Wednesday, September 16th

Location: HILTON GARDEN INN SEAWORLD, 6850 Westwood Blvd, Orlando, FL 32821

Time: 11:00 AM - 5:30 PM both days

Race Day: Packets can also be picked up at SeaWorld Orlando beginning at 5:30 PM on race day.
