3rd Annual PPP3CA Race for Rare 5k Run/Walk

Event Overview

Please join us for our 3rd Annual Race for Rare 5k Run/Walk campaign held at Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas! This race benefits the PPP3CA Hope Foundation, a parent-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing research for PPP3CA rare disease. Proceeds help fund critical research, advance collaboration, raise awareness, and support families affected by PPP3CA.

Race Details

• Date and Time: August 23rd, 9 AM
• Registration: Begins at 8:00 AM
• Distance Options: 1 Mile Walk or a 5K Run/Walk
• Activities: Coffee, breakfast, silent auction, and learn about PPP3CA!

Family Activities

• Food: Free pancake bar by Hazel Catering starting at 8 AM
• Juice/Coffee: Coffee available for purchase from Blind Barista Coffee
• Entertainment: Kids face painting by Aunt Nancy's Face Art
• Memories: Free participation medals for kids made by 785 Wood Shack

Awards and Auction

• Winners Announcement: Race winners and medal awards at 10 AM
• Auction Winners: Silent auction prize winners at 10:30 AM
• Bids: Amazing prize baskets available for bidding
• Payment Options: Cash, Check, and Venmo for auction purchases

• Full Zebra Experience - Kansas: $40 (includes registration, vendors access, silent auction opportunity, Race for Rare Logo Tshirt, Swag Bag items - closes July 31st)
• Basic Entry - Kansas: $20 (includes registration and access to vendors)
• Basic Entry - Virtual: $20 (includes registration only, join the fight anywhere)
• Tshirt Purchase: Virtual supporters may buy a shirt here.
