Forks 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Two branches of the Kalamazoo River coming together into one at the center of Albion and the river provides the perfect setting for Victory Park, one of Albion’s prized possessions. The Forks 5K coincides with Albion’s annual Festival of the Forks. Don’t just run on Friday night and skip town, instead, stay and enjoy wonderful food and music all day on Saturday during the Festival of the Forks.

• Sponsorship Impact: With the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to cover the cost of the entire series.
• Donation Details: Each registration fee is then used as a donation to a local nonprofit organization that provides course volunteers.
• Past Contributions: In 2023 Run Albion donated over $3,000 across five different nonprofits.

🕒 Event Details

• Event Type: 5K Run/Walk. The 5K is open to strollers and dogs. Kids Fun Run is free.
• Student Discount: Students 18 and under $10 discount off entry fee. Applied automatically during checkout.
• Check-In: 5:00PM – 6:00PM
• Race Start: All runners and walkers will start at 6:30pm

📊 Timing and Results

The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race and posted on this website.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

All participants will receive a finisher medal. Awards will also be given to the top 5 men and top 5 women overall for the in-person individual events. Points will be awarded to all Forks 5K participants which will be used in determining series awards.

🏆 Series Scoring Awards

🏃‍♀️ Virtual 5K Run/Walk

If you cannot make the Run Albion series events in person, but you would still like to participate and support the local non-profits that are beneficiaries of Run Albion's proceeds, you can complete in the Virtual Forks 5K. A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, or the trail, or the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own
