Event Overview

Come celebrate the Inaugural Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k in Columbia, SC - Join us on Saturday, October 10th in celebration Ostomy Awareness Day at the beautiful Sesquicentennial State Park!

Family Friendly Fun

• Activities: This family friendly event will include lots of fun and laughter.
• Vendors: Local vendors will be present for an enjoyable experience.
• Food and Music: Enjoy food and music while celebrating.
• Charity Support: All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization.

Race Day Schedule

• 9:00-9:45 AM: Packet Pick-up and Same Day Registration
• 10:00 AM: 5k Start
• 12:00 Noon: Celebration and Awards end

Team Participation

Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

Fundraising Information

FUNDRAISING: Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

• Importance: Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K.
• Support: Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
• Personal Fundraiser: Set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event.
• Unique URL: Create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message.

Fundraising Incentives

Your commitment: Your commitment to fundraise and support the ostomy and continent diversion community is no small endeavor, and we appreciate your dedication and hard work.

• Empower Level: $250+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.

• Champion Level: $450+ in fundraising individually or as a Team Captain.

United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports, empowers and advocates for the estimated 725,000 to 1 Million people who are living with an ostomy or continent diversion across the country. Your generous donation helps us to raise awareness of this life-saving surgery and to continue our mission of promoting their quality of life through information, support, advocacy and collaboration. Run Referral Program

Invite 5: Invite 5 other people to register and participate in the Run with you and you will be refunded $20 on YOUR registration! Simply share your unique referral link found on your registration confirmation page. The referral program is valid for all in-person run locations and the virtual event.

Event Insurance
