About the Event
- Celebration: HeroRun is more than a race: it's a celebration of the heroes who make our communities stronger every day.
- Honoring Heroes: From veterans and active-duty service members to teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and others, this event honors those who serve and inspire.
- Community Support: Hosted by American Asset Corporation and Fairview Plaza, this event brings together runners, walkers, families, and community supporters.
- Supporting Veterans: Every registration helps support Veterans Bridge Home, a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans transition and thrive after military service.
Event Details
- Race Start: Two races will kick off at 8 a.m., October 31st, 2026.
- Locations: The 5K takes you through scenic South Park neighborhoods while the 1K Fun Run is closer to Fairview Road.
- Activities: Enjoy music, activities, and interact with members of all five branches of the U.S. military.
- Participation: Whether you're chasing a personal best or just showing support, everyone is invited to join.
2026 Race Shirt and Medal
All participants will receive commemorative race shirts and medals.
Making A Local Impact
- Fundraising Success: Since its inception, HeroRun has raised over $250,000 to support Veterans Bridge Home and thousands of veterans and military families.
- Veteran Support: The organization provides employment support, housing resources, healthcare connections, and community engagement programs.
- Get Involved: By registering, sponsoring, volunteering, or donating, you help create meaningful opportunities for those who served our country.
Remembering Jake Miller...
- Community Work: Though he never served, Jake Miller and his daughter worked to end Veteran homelessness.
- Lemon Aid Stand: They started a “lemon aid” stand to donate money to Veterans Bridge Home.
- Family Involvement: Jake’s dedication to the Veteran community grew, including participation in the Hero Run.
- Honoring His Memory: After his passing, his family raised over $80,000 for VBH to help prevent Veteran homelessness.
