About This Event
- Event Name: The Rochester Community Schools (RCS) Foundation Hometown Hustle
- Type: A five-kilometer, timed or untimed fun run/walk
- Participation: More than 1,100 participants celebrating fitness and family
- Purpose: All proceeds return to RCS to enhance the educational experience of all students!
One-Mile Color Fun Run
- Exciting Event: The One-Mile COLOR Fun Run is BACK!
- Route: One-mile UNTIMED route for runners, walkers, or wannabe flyers
- Color Packet: Participants will receive a color packet!
- Post-Race Fun: Enjoy music, dancing, photo ops, and more!
Registration Information
ONE REGISTRATION - TWO RACES!
NOTE: If you plan on running both races and want to be timed for the 5K run, please register for the 5K RUN/WALK | TIMED BIB and arrive at or before 8 am to run both races. SEE YOU AT THE RACE!
Event Details
- Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
- Opening Ceremony: 8 a.m.
- National Anthem: Pledge and opening notes
- Races Start: 1-mile color fun run at 8:10 a.m., 5K run or walk at 8:30 a.m.
Costs
- Registration Fees: $30 - Adult, $20 - RCS K-12 Student
- Discount: Register 4 or more adults and receive $5 off for each adult registration!
- Swag Bag: Every registrant receives a swag bag with a t-shirt, a bib, and sponsor goodies!
- Color Packet: All color fun run registrants will receive a color packet!
Important Reminders
Deadline for a guaranteed 2026 t-shirt is August 31 – all registrations after August 31 may receive a different size t-shirt or a Hometown Hustle t-shirt from a previous year.
Support Your RCS School
For every 50 participants registered (any age), your school receives $500! The elementary, middle and high school with the most participants WINS an ADDITIONAL $1,000 to use at their building.
