Race Overview
This half marathon will begin and end at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion.
Course Details
- Starting Point: Begins at the Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion.
- Initial Stretch: Heads north in a flat stretch followed by a gentle uplift to some steeper hills and turns.
- Scenic Views: Runners will see the Great Salt Pond, beach dunes, The North Lighthouse and much more.
- Challenging Loop: At the North Light, turn back and prepare for a loop around the beautiful west side of the island with lots of hills and turns.
Scenery Highlights
- Backdrops: Rolling pastures, stone walls, farmhouses, and the beautiful blue Atlantic.
- Final Stretch: Takes you down Airport Hill and back to the Pavilion.
- Experience: October on Block Island is stunning!
