NORD at UVA is a student chapter of the National Organization for Rare Disorders, and this is our first fundraising 5k!

• Focus: Education and advocacy within the rare disease space
• Proceeds: All proceeds from this event will go toward NORD's support of rare disease patients!

🌍 About NORD

NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders), a 501(c)(3) organization, is a patient advocacy organization dedicated to individuals with rare diseases and the organizations that serve them.

• Membership: NORD has more than 300 patient organization members
• Commitment: Focused on the identification, treatment, and cure of rare disorders
• Impact: Over 25 million Americans have been diagnosed with rare diseases
• Treatments: Less than 10% of these diseases have a treatment approved by the FDA
