RPEF Sprint for Our Schools 5K & Family Fun Run

Event Overview

The Ramsey Public Education Foundation invites you to join us as we return to our live and in-person annual Sprint For Our Schools 5K & Family Fun Run on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 brought to you by our Title Sponsor, Ramsey Auto Group.

Awards and Recognition

• Cash Prizes: Awarded to the overall top three runners.
• Medals: The top three runners in each age group will receive medals.
• Age Groups: 10 and under, 11-12 years old, 13-18 years old, 19-29 years old, 30-39 years old, 40-49 years old, 50-59 years old, and 60 and over.

Event Details

Sprint For Our Schools has become a tradition in Ramsey. Bright and early, rain or shine, on the second Saturday in May, hundreds of people gather at the Ramsey Community Center ready to run as a community. You can feel the excitement: The DJ is playing music, the energy level is high, and our sponsors are in attendance.

• Race Options: This year, runners can run our USATF-sanctioned race either on our traditional 5K course or 1 mile Family Fun Run route.
• Community Support: When you register for this race, you are helping support the education experience in Ramsey.
• Fundraising: In the past, this event has raised more than $25,000 for Ramsey schools!

Packet Pickup Times

• Friday: May 8th, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM or 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Ramsey Community Center – 75 E Oak St, Ramsey, NJ 07446 (times are subject to be changed).
• Race Day: Saturday, May 9th beginning at 7 AM at the Registration table, outside the Ramsey Community Center.
