Mission Statement
- Organization: Run 5 Feed 5 is a 501c3 organization.
- Purpose: To fund programs that feed hungry children.
- History: Our mission started in 2013 to raise awareness about childhood hunger.
- In Need: One out of every four children in North Carolina goes hungry.
Our Initiatives
- Backpack Pals Program: Provides food every Friday to local food insecure children.
- Food Delivery: Over 500 children receive food during summer and extended breaks.
- School Grants: Assistance for lunch accounts and food programs in schools.
- Food Bank: Opened in 2021, serving all local schools with snack foods.
Participation Options
- Volunteering: Opportunities are available for everyone in the community.
- Entry Fee: $30 per person, includes a custom t-shirt.
