Race Information and Registration

🎉 Race Overview

• Event: The BEST Phoenixville running event is BACK for the 25th anniversary of Blobfest!
• Date: Sunday, July 14th.
• Celebration: Honor the classic 1958 film, The BLOB, with a running party!
• New Addition: This year includes a half marathon alongside 5K, 10K, and kids' fun-run.

🏅 Course Decoration Contest

• Participation: Form a group to decorate an area on the 5K course.
• Theme: Blob or other monster/alien theme.
• Voting: Runners will vote for the best scenes after the race.
• Prizes: Winners receive gift cards to local Phoenixville restaurants.

📍 Location and Parking

• Starting Area: Under the Gay Street Bridge, closest address is 200 Mill Street.
• Parking: Free off-site parking available at Phoenixville High School (1000 Purple Pride Parkway).
• Shuttle Service: Free shuttle runs from 6:30 am to 11:30 am.
• Parking Recommendation: Highly encourage carpooling or walking to the start area.

🕒 Starting Times

• Half Marathon: 7 am
• 10K: 8 am
• 5K: 8:05 am
• Kids' Run: 8:10 am

🎽 Bib Pickup

• Option 1: Saturday 7/13 from 11 am to 5 pm at the RUNegades table during the Blobfest Street Fair.
• Option 2: Race Day 7/14 starting at 6 am near the start/finish area under the Gay Street Bridge.

💦 Water Stops

• Half Marathon: Stops at miles 1.3, 3, 4.3, 6.8, 7.6, 9.3, and 11.7.
• 5K: At the top of Cromby Hill (Mile 1.4).
• 10K: Stops at miles 1.4, 2, 4, and 5.
• Course Cut-off: Strict 3:30 limit for the half marathon, walkers encouraged to participate in the 5K or 10K.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• Finishers: All 5K, 10K, and half marathon finishers receive a 4" Blobfest medal.
• Kids Fun-Run: All participants receive a finisher's ribbon and prize.
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 M/F overall and in various age groups.
• Special Awards: Best dressed, best course decorations, and most Blobbiest team!

🎉 Supporting a Good Cause

A portion of your registration fees and 100% of all donations will go to The Historic Colonial Theatre, the site of The Blob's most famous scene!

📦 Packet Pickup Details

Two options for packet pickup:

• Saturday 7/13 from 11 am to 5 pm at the RUNegades table at the Blobfest Street Fair.
• Race Day 7/14 starting at 6 am near the start/finish area under the Gay Street Bridge.

🏃‍♀️ Pacing Groups

• 10K Pace Groups: 7:30 / 8:00 / 8:30 / 9:00 / 9:30 / 10:00 / 10:30 / 11:00 / 11:30 minutes per mile.
• Half Marathon Pace Groups: 1:35 / 1:45 / 2:00 / 2:15 / 2:30 finishing times.
