Participation Options

• In-Person: 5K and 1 mile events
• Virtual: Complete your distance anytime from Thanksgiving Day to the following Sunday
• Result Submission: Optional for virtual participants
• Packet Pickup: Shirts and medals available on Wednesday or via mail if shipping is selected

Event Details

• Participants: Open to both runners and walkers
• Timing: 5K is chip-timed: 1 mile is not timed but has a finish line clock
• Course: USATF Certified 5K course and 1 mile fun run/walk
• Parking: Plenty of space available at the event location

• Beneficiary: We Care House of Winston-Salem
• Mission: Meet physical needs to address spiritual needs without distraction
• Food Donation: Bring at least 3 canned food items for the food bank
• Specific Needs: Breakfast items, dry pinto beans, rice, potato flakes, spaghetti, etc.

• Awards: Turkeys for Top 3 Overall Male & Female, Top 3 Overall Masters Male & Female
• Swag: Long Sleeve T-shirts for all 5K participants: option to purchase for one-mile fun run
• Finisher Medals: Awarded to every participant in both events
• Family Friendly: Strollers and leashed dogs welcome: no scooters or bikes allowed

• Start Point: Winston-Salem Fairgrounds off Deacon Blvd
• Surroundings: Near BB&T Field/Stadium, Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Deacon Baseball field
• Course Design: Accommodates growth and participants
• Record Eligible: Final times will count toward state and national records
