• Challenges: Participate in the Slay the Beast Challenge - it's the 12th year of the challenge.

• Course: Challenging 10K & 2 Mile certified road races with out & backs over the Eau Gallie Causeway and Indian River.
• Alternate Option: Not up for the full 6.2 miles? Join us for the Tail of the Lizard 2 Mile.
• Medals: Sign up & finish both races to earn 3 medals!

• Slay the Beast Challenge: $75 (10K & 2 Mile)
• 10K Adult: $40, 10K Student (18 & under): $35, 10K SCR Member: $30
• 2 Mile Adult: $28, 2 Mile Students (18 & under): $25, 2 Mile SCR Member: $24

• Dates: Friday, February 12 from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Dates: Saturday, February 13 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Awards Categories

• Overall Awards: Top 3 Overall Male & Female in 10K, 2 Mile, & Slay the Beast
• Masters Awards: Top Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), & Senior Grand Masters (60+) Male & Female — 10K & 2 Mile
• Age Group Awards: Top 3 in each Age Group— 10K & 2 Mile
• Team Awards: Top Overall 10K Team & 2 Mile Co-ed Team Competition (min of 5 members: co-ed must have 1 person of opposite sex)

Adaptive Athletes

Eye of the Dragon welcomes athletes who may have a permanent visual, hearing, physical, or intellectual impairment or disability that affects their ability to participate in long-distance events. All athletes must meet the age, participation, safety, and equipment requirements of the specific race and must be registered for the event they wish to take part in.
