🎉 Race Overview

Get ready for the 12th Annual Renfro Rock 'N Run Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk! The Renfro Rock N Run Half Marathon has a tradition of being one of Kentucky’s most unique and fun races.

Renfro Valley, Kentucky, home of the world-famous entertainment center and the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame, is known for its music, from Bluegrass to classic country to rock. Rockcastle County is home to a rock-solid, enthusiastic bunch who has taken to running and dare you to keep up. At the Rock N Run, they share the road, and their countryside, with you.

You’ll dash past rustic cabins, trot alongside a beautiful lake, and pass through some of Kentucky’s prettiest farmscapes.

Part of the Rockcastle Regional Countywide Stride run/walk series, and winner of the Jackson Healthcare Hospital Charitable Services Program of Excellence Award.

🚨 Safety Information

• Important Notice: NO strollers or dogs permitted for this race.
• Ear Buds: If you use ear buds, we strongly suggest you only use one, as this is not a closed course.
• Course Support: Our volunteers, local Law Enforcement, and Local Fire Department will provide safety support.
• Traffic Awareness: The roads are not closed so be aware you may encounter traffic at any time.

🏃‍♂️ Half Marathon Details

• Date & Time: Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. EST.
• Course Map: View Course Map
• Registration Fees: $65 through June 30, $75 through September 30, and $85 from October 1 through race day.
• Awards: $100 and trophies to overall male and female winner, as well as top three male and female runners in age categories.

Packet pick-up is Friday, October 25, 8:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. EST, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital, 185 Newcomb Ave, Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 or until 7:45 a.m. on race day.

🏃‍♀️ 5K Run/Walk Details

• Date & Time: Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 8:05 a.m. EST.
• Registration Fees: $25 through September 30 and $30 from October 1 through race day.
• KIDS CLUB: Two registration options: Free registration (no shirt) or paid discounted registration (includes shirt).
• Awards: Top finishers in age categories, gifts for overall male and female winners.

🎭 Costume Contest

• Theme: Musical-themed costumes are encouraged. Be creative!
• Photo Submission: Contestants must check-in at the registration tent for a photo. Most “likes” wins $100!
• Costume Requirement: All costume participants must wear their costume for the duration of the race.
