Race Description
This year the race is on Sam's Birthday (he would be 22)! Come join us for a 5K run/walk through downtown Stanford, and cupcakes for everyone!!
Awards
- Special Gift Baskets: Awards given with goodies donated from Kentucky Soaps and Such.
- Top Finishers: Recognitions for top Male and Female, and top Master Male and Female.
- Beginners Friendly: A perfect race for beginners who have never run or walked a 5K.
- Participation Rewards: Many times if you just show up and participate you have a good chance of getting an award!
About Sam Singleton
Our race is in honor of Sam Singleton, a special young man that we tragically lost way too early. This race was imagined to create and fund The Sam Singleton Educational Fund.
Educational Fund
- Support Programs: The fund helps support Lincoln County Middle and High School Extracurricular programs that were Sam’s passions.
- Key Activities: Programs include Lincoln County cross-country, track, FCA, drama, and archery.
- Funding Achieved: To date we have awarded $71,500 to students and programs.
- Motto: WE RUN FOR SAM!!
