Race Overview
This race is perfect for seasoned racers, walkers and those who've never run or even walked 3.1 miles. Grab your strollers and favorite pets on a leash -- they’re welcome, too! We’ll also have bounce houses and other free kids' activities on site.
Virtual Participation
- Tracking Miles: You can even track your mileage over the week to total a 5K. (How many trips from the couch to the fridge would you need?)
Awards and Recognition
- Race T-Shirt: All participants receive a race T-shirt.
- Medals: Medals will be awarded for the top in-person male and female overall and master’s (40+) finishers, and the top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70 and 70+.
- Photo Submission: Virtual participants can submit their race photos to be recognized in a variety of creative categories.
Team Registration
- Team Discount: Teams of four or more people can register to receive a $5 discount per person for either the in-person or virtual event.
- Mixed Teams: Teams can be a mix of in-person and virtual participants.
- Youth Team Prize: The largest youth team (18 and under) will win free meals from Hawaiian Bros!

This run supports Family Promise of Lawrence, an agency that works with families who are experiencing a housing crisis in Douglas County and to help them find stabilization through community connections.

We’ll be at Ad Astra Running Co. (835 Massachusetts St.) on Sunday May 25th from 12:30-4p for packet pick-up, check-in. You can also register for the event!
