🎶 Join Us for the 9th Annual Musicians of Steel 5K Run/Walk

Please join us for the 9th Annual Musicians of Steel 5K Run/Walk, a charity race organized by the Musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra! This year we will continue with our “hybrid format" with both live and virtual components to choose from. No matter which you choose, you’ll still receive the many perks of the Musicians of Steel 5K:

🎵 MUSIC!

• Start Line Experience: You’ll be serenaded at the start line by the world-class musicians of the PSO in addition to local musicians along the course!
• Virtual Playlist: Virtual participants, never fear! You’ll receive a unique running playlist specially curated by your PSO Musicians to help you cross the virtual finish line!

👕 SWAG!

• Official T-Shirt: Show off your love for music and running around town with our official race T-shirt, free with every registration!

🏆 PRIZES!

• Top Finishers: As always, our prize packages are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top finisher in various age categories.
• Prize Contents: Prizes include special items like PSO recordings, gift cards to Fleet Feet and Millie’s Homemade ice cream, and other surprise items.

🎼 SUPPORT AN AMAZING CAUSE!

Music education should be a cornerstone in every young person’s life. We believe that music education is more important now than ever. We are proud to provide support to local music programs in need by donating 100% of race entry fees directly to the PSO Musicians Care Fund. The money raised for the PSO Musicians Care Fund is used to buy instruments for local students, secure school buses for transportation to and from Heinz Hall for PSO’s “Schooltime” concerts, in addition to other invaluable resources.

Race entry fees (not including online processing fees) and any additional contributions to the “PSO Musicians Care Fund” are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. The “PSO Musicians Care Fund” is a component fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) organization.
