Safe House Run

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• Event Type: 5K Run, 2 Mile Walk, 1/2 Mile Kid's Run
• Purpose: Fundraiser for a Safe House for young girls at risk of abuse in Bukeka, Uganda
• Organizers: Global Hands of Hope Uganda in partnership with Lifesong for Orphans
• Impact: Over $200,000 raised for 3 Safe Houses and 200+ children attending Suubi School

📅 Date and Location

• Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025
• Location: Dust to Glory Fitness, 716 E. Empire Street Unit G, Bloomington, IL 61701
• Course: Entirely on the Constitution Trail
• Special Guest: Ronald Nalera will provide virtual updates during the event

💵 Registration Details

• Adult Fee: $40 (includes T-shirt) for ages 18 and up
• Kids Fee: Only $5 for ages 17 and under (additional $10 for optional T-shirt)
• Walk-Up Registration: $5 extra ($45 for adults, $10 for kids)
• Packet Pickup: Starts at 9:00 am on race day

👦 Race Schedule

• Kid's Run: 9:30 am
• 5K Run & 2 Mile Walk: Start at 10:00 am
• Special Feature: Footage of the children's race in Uganda shown after our event
• Host: Thanks to Dustin Webb of Dust 2 Glory Fitness for hosting the event!
