Ville to Ville Relay

Race Overview

The 2026 Ville to Ville Craft Brew Relay is Sold Out, and the waiting list is closed. Interested participants should join our email list for info on future races.

The Ville to Ville Relay celebrates the beautiful region from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC. It is a 72-mile team running event traveling from the peaks to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, through local craft breweries, and into quaint southern towns.

The 9th Annual event will be held on April 11, 2026. The first flight of teams will start the relay around 5:00 am in Asheville, NC. Over the next few hours, additional teams will depart on their journey through the Carolinas. Each team will consist of three to six runners who will split 12 legs ranging from 3-9 miles. Each team will provide its own race vehicle to drop off and pick up runners at designated transition areas along the course route. Ville to Ville teams will arrive at Hampton Station in Greenville, SC between 3:00-8:00 pm for a finish line celebration, including music, food, and craft brews.

Team Payments

• Deposit Requirement: All teams will be required to pay a deposit of $300 during your initial registration.
• Full Fee Option: Teams have the option to pay the entire fee of $775.
• Payment Deadline: Remaining team fee of $475 must be paid by midnight on January 15, 2026.
• Final Roster: Team rosters should be finalized by March 5, 2026.

Race Theme

Get ready to throw it back—this year’s relay theme is Saturday Morning Cartoons! Think Scooby-Doo, Rugrats, Ninja Turtles, or whatever you couldn’t wait to watch in your pajamas. Dress up, decorate those vans, and let’s bring our favorite cartoons to life out on the course!

Packet Pickup & Welcome Receptions

• Thursday, April 9: Southernside Brewing Company, 25 Delano Dr, Greenville, SC. 4-7 pm.
• Friday, April 10: Asheville Sports Club, 137 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC. 4-7 pm.
• Saturday, April 11: Starting Line
• Attendance: Only captains or a team representative are required to attend the packet pickup event, but all participants are welcome to attend.

Age Requirements

All runners must be 21 or older to participate in the Ville to Ville Craft Brew Relay.

Team Name

Be creative, but keep it classy. Your team name will appear in lots of public places, so make sure it would make your mother proud. You will submit your team name during registration, but it can be changed until March 5, 2026.

Team Categories

• Open Co-ed: minimum of 2 females
• Open: all-male team or all males plus 1 female
• Open Female: all females
• Masters: all-male team or all males plus 1 female, all members 40+
• Masters Female: all females, all members 40+
• Masters Co-ed: minimum of 2 females, all members 40+

Team Captain

Each team will have a team captain (we will initially use the name and contact info of the person registering.) We will provide regular race information and updates for the team captain on our Captain Resources page and through monthly email newsletters. Team Captains can be transferred at any point to another person. Existing captains should email info@villetovillerelay.com and Cc the new captain if they request a captain change.

Team Pace

To make it to the post-race party in one day, it is mandatory to have a team pace of 11:00 minutes per mile or less. This doesn’t mean that everyone on the team has to run at this pace, but it does mean that if you have slower team members, you will need faster team members to keep your team on track.

You will estimate a team pace when you register your team with an average min/mile pace for all runners on the entire course. For a 6-person team, each runner will run twice between 3-9 miles, so a 10K time average would be expected. Final team pace estimates will be due on March 5, 2026. Cancellation & Weather

This is a rain-or-shine event. The race director has the right to change the course or event in case of inclement weather or state restrictions. More details on our weather policy can be found on our team resources page.
