💧 Northeast Ohio Race for Global Water
Join Ohio American Water Works Association (OAWWA) to raise funds for Water for People, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a world where all people have access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene services that are resilient in the face of climate change, equitable to all, and bring health and prosperity to communities.
🌍 The Global Water Crisis
- Statistic: Over 2.2 billion people around the world don’t have access to safe water.
- Challenge: 3.5 billion lack access to adequate sanitation.
- Impact: Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day.
- Health Concern: More than 840,000 people die each year from water-related diseases.
🏃♂️ Event Details
OAWWA is teamed up with Water For People to host the 8th annual Northeast Ohio Race For Global Water 5K. This year’s 5K will be October 3rd at Rocky River Reservation. All net proceeds from this fundraiser support water access and sustainability for individuals around the world. For more information on who you will be benefiting, please visit Water For People.

- 9:00 AM: 5K Run/Walk Begins
- 9:30 AM: Awards Ceremony
