Join Ohio American Water Works Association (OAWWA) to raise funds for Water for People, a nonprofit organization with a mission to build a world where all people have access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene services that are resilient in the face of climate change, equitable to all, and bring health and prosperity to communities.

Global Water Crisis

• Access Issues: Over 2.2 billion people around the world don’t have access to safe water.
• Sanitation Challenges: 3.5 billion people lack access to adequate sanitation.
• Time Burden: Women and children spend more than 4 hours walking for water each day.
• Health Impact: More than 840,000 people die each year from water-related diseases.

Event Details

• Collaboration: OAWWA is teamed up with Water For People to host the 8th annual Northeast Ohio Race For Global Water 5K.
• Date: This year’s 5K will be October 3rd at Rocky River Reservation.
• Proceeds: All net proceeds from this fundraiser support water access and sustainability for individuals around the world.

• Size Options: We offer sizes Adult Small to 2X-Large.
• No Shirt Discount: $5 discount for opting out of a shirt.
• Availability: T-shirts will be limited after September 15 with limited selections.
