Event Overview

The Annual Superhero Run is a fun, family-friendly 5K run/walk that brings our community together to support local foster children in need. Hosted by Friends of Children of Brevard, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this event raises vital funds to help abused, abandoned, and neglected children right here in Brevard County. Every step you take makes a difference in a child’s life.

Timetable

Friday, April 24th

• 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM: Packet Pickup & Registration at Running Zone (3696 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne)

Saturday, April 25th – The Avenue

• 6:30 AM: Packet Pickup & Late Registration
• 7:20 AM: Late Registration Ends for 1 Mile
• 7:30 AM: 1 Mile Run/Walk START!
• 8:00 AM: 5K START!

Post-Race Activities

• Mascot Race: Cheer on your favorite mascot!
• FREE Kids Run: For the little ones

• Top 3 Overall: Male & Female
• Top Masters: (40+) Male & Female
• Top 3 in Each Age Group: 8 & Under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

5K Team Awards

• Top 3 Fastest Teams: Teams of 4 - must be co-ed
• Top School: with the Most Participation
• Best Costume: Male, Female, and Child
• Fastest Mascot: (Mascot Race)

1 Mile Individual Awards

• Top 3 Overall: Male & Female
• Top Masters: (40+) Male & Female
• Top 3 in Each Age Group: 8 & Under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Important Notes

• Rain or Shine: No Refunds
• All participants: will receive a Superhero Finisher Medal!
• Choose your side: Team Marvel (Red) or Team DC (Blue) – your choice determines the color of your performance T-shirt. (Register by 3/31 to guarantee your shirt size.)
• Superhero Challenge: Includes 1 shirt, 1-mile finisher medal, and 5K challenge medal.
