🎉 Race Description

• Tradition: Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA has been baking up homemade sweet potato pies and frying cracklin for 30 years at our annual Creole Festival.
• Run/Walk: Several years ago we decided to get in a quick run/walk before eating delicious foods the rest of the weekend.
• Celebration: Come out and join us in celebrating our great heritage filled with Run, Food, Music, Family and Fun.

💰 Entry Fees

• Individuals: $30 Registration for 5K Run or Walk
• 1 Mile: $25 Registration for 1 Mile Fun Run or Walk
• Youth: $20 Registration for Ages 1-18 for the 5K or 1 Mile

🖥️ Virtual Option

• Details: New this year we are offering a Virtual Option for the 5K and 1 Mile. You will be able to run or walk your distance on your own and turn in your results online here.
• 1 Mile Virtual: $25 Registration for the Virtual 1 Mile Run/Walk
• 5K Virtual: $30 Registration for the Virtual 5K Run/Walk

🕗 Race Day Registration

• Time: 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. (T-Shirts are not guaranteed)
• 5K Registration: $30 Race Day Registration for 5K Run or Walk
• 1 Mile Registration: $25 Race Day Registration for 1 Mile Fun Run or Walk

T-Shirt 👕 Race Shirts

• Registration Deadline: Please register before October 22, 2025 to insure that you’ll get the size race shirt that you want.
• Guarantee: We cannot guarantee availability and/or size after that date.

🚫 Refunds & Race Delays

• No Refunds: There are no refunds.
• Weather: The race will take place rain or shine BUT the race director reserves the right to modify the course or change the start time of the race for the safety of the participants.

📦 Packet Pick-Up & Race Day Registration

• Time: All packets will be picked up on race day between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

🗺️ Directions to Race Site

• From Lafayette: I-49 N to exit 19B 190W Opelousas.
• Instructions: Go through the 1st two red lights on 190W. Take a right at the 3rd red light (Union St.).
• Location: Head North on Union, crossing the railroad track. Holy Ghost Catholic Church will be on the right-hand side about ½ a block after crossing the railroad track.
• Parking: Please park along Union Street or in the parking lot (old Courville Toyota building) across from the church.

🏆 The 5K Run/Walk

• Start/Finish: The run will start and finish on the Holy Ghost Creole Festival grounds.

🥇 Awards

• Top Finishers: The top 3 overall 5K participants and 1 Mile participants will win authentic Holy Ghost Creole Festival awards.
