6th Annual Forging Families 5K/10K and 1 Mile Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

This event supports Sacred Selections, a not-for-profit organization that assists families in their quest to adopt a child. It's a pretty amazing organization. They operate with a volunteer board and minimal administrative costs.

💰 Purpose of the Event

• Proceeds: All proceeds from this race will be donated to Sacred Selections to reduce the financial burden on a family willing to give a child a home.
• Direct Support: Funds will be sent directly to Sacred Selections to assist families in the process of adoption.
• Donation History: In the last four years, we have donated more than $40,000 to this cause.
• Growth: Our event has grown each year.

• Courses: We are excited to offer USATF Certified 10K and 5K courses as well as a 1 Mile Fun Run!
• Date: The race will take place on February 1, 2025.
• Location: 105 West College Street, Columbiana, AL.

• 10K Early Bird: $35 (by 11/16/24)
• 10K Registration: $40 (close 01/30/25)

• One Mile Early Bird: $15 (by 11/16/24)

🕖 Race Day Information

Race day registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Shelby County Arts Council.

🏁 Course Details

The course (USATF #AL19060JE) is fast and flat and promises a great opportunity at your next PR! We will begin and end at the brand-new Shelby County Arts Council facility. The 10K course will basically be a double loop (USATF#AL21027JE). Although the course is an open course, the City of Columbiana is partnering with us and providing police to control the flow of traffic to ensure runners are safe.
