American Cancer Society Color Run

Event Overview

Join us at Babcock Ranch for a fun-filled morning supporting the American Cancer Society Color Run 5K or 1-Mile Walk. Both events start and finish in Founder's Square.

Race Details

• Race Start Time: 8 a.m. at Babcock Ranch, Founders Square, 42850 Crescent Loop, Punta Gorda, FL 33982
• Strollers and dogs: Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted and must start in the back of the start line.
• Timing: 5K Run/Walk is a professionally chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.
• 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk: This event is not timed and starts immediately after the 5K start.

Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Friday September 4, 2026, from 9 am to 5 pm. Location: Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42891 Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.
• Shirt Deadline: Register by August 22, 2026, to guarantee an event shirt. Participants registering after this date are not guaranteed a shirt.
• Race Day Registration: 6:45 am to 7:45 am. 5K cost is $40.00, and 1-Mile cost is $30.00.
• Payment: Only credit cards or Apple Pay accepted: cash is not accepted.

Awards

• In-Person Ceremony: There will be an in-person awards ceremony. Participants receive a finisher medal.
• Overall Awards: Presented to the 1st Place Male and Female finishers in various categories including Overall and Masters (40+).
• Age Group Awards: Presented to the Top 3 Male and Female finishers in age categories from 9 & Under to 75+.
• Eligibility: Overall winners are not eligible for Age Group awards. Medals and awards will not be shipped.

Miscellaneous Information

• Post-Race Refreshments: Refreshments will be served after the race.
• Water Stations: Located at the halfway mark on the course and at the finish line.
• Rest Rooms: Located next to the Start Line.
• Parking: Free parking is available in areas near Founder's Square.
