New Year's Day 5K Run/Walk

Friday January 1, 2026: Kids Run starting at 8:30 AM and 5k Starting at 9:00 am location TBD

💰 Registration & Entry Fee

• Early Registration: 6/1-8/31 $25
• Regular Registration: 9/1-12/17 $30
• Late Registration: 12/18-12/31 $35
• Race Day Registration: $40

👶 Kids Run

Cost is $10. Kids will run a 1 mile course out and back.

🤑 5K Age Based Pricing

Cost for ages 4-12 through December 28 is $10 and cost for ages 13-17 is $15. Age based pricing is only available through early online registration. Deadline to register using this pricing structure is December 28. It is not available for late registration at either packet pickup or on race day.

👥 KTC Membership Discounts

KTC Members are eligible for a $5 discount.

📦 Race Day Pick-Up

Race Day pick-up from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM.

It will take many volunteers to make this race a success! Opportunities are available before, during, and after the race. Volunteers will receive a $5 coupon code that can be used toward race registration (excluding the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon and Whitestone) and non-running volunteers that work the entire race will receive a $10 code. 🏆 Awards

Awards to the top male and female as well as the oldest and youngest male and female. Awards will be distributed to the top 100 men and women when crossing the finish line. No age group awards at this event.

📊 Grand Prix Points Team Competition

The New Year's Day 5K is on the 2026 Team Competition schedule. 2026 Grand Prix Points awarded winners in various categories and age groups. Points accumulate throughout the year. KTC recognizes the top 10 men and women in the Grand Prix series at the New Year’s Day 5K on January 1, 2027. Remember, to be eligible for Grand Prix Points, participants must be a member of KTC and must volunteer for at least 3 KTC races throughout the year.

🏅 2025 Grand Prix Winners

The 2025 Grand Prix Series winners will be announced prior to this event and awards may be picked up on race morning.

🍏 Post Race Refreshments

Light snacks will be provided.

🚫 Race Etiquette

Due to insurance regulations, roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the course. The 5K course closes in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
