RACE OVERVIEW

• Event: Enjoy a beautiful run on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk during The 63rd Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships.
• Finisher Medals: All finishers will receive a custom medal and commemorative tee.
• Course Details: The race will start at 2nd Street on the boardwalk. Enjoy the fast, flat, and out-and-back course along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk with a view of the morning sun over the scenic oceanfront.
• Support: Course marshals will be positioned at key points and a water station will be set up near the turnaround.

COMPETITIONS

• Pro Surf Competitions: Pro surf competitions will be underway shortly after the race, not to mention all the other CE ECSC events.
• Admission: All events are free and open to attend.

REGISTRATION

• Online Registration: $40 until August 16th, at midnight.
• Increased Rate: $45 starting on August 17th.

PACKET PICKUP

• Date: Tuesday, August 19th, 2026.
• Location: Coastal Edge 21st Street, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm.
• Race Day Pickup: 2nd Street on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk, 6:00 am - 6:45 am.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

CASH OR CREDIT ONLY will be accepted for walk-up registration.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Applicants acknowledge that they are participating in an outdoor event, which is subject to sudden changes in weather, including thunderstorms, high winds, etc. Applicant acknowledges that no refunds will be made as a result of inclement weather during the Coastal Edge ECSC 5k.

PICKUP LOCATION DETAILS

Packet Pickup for this race will be held Tuesday August 19th from 5:30pm to 7pm at Coastal Edge 21st street, Located at 316 21st street Virginia Beach, VA, 23451.
