Oglebay 0.5k Beer Dash

Event Overview

Join us at Oglebayfest weekend, Sunday October 5th for our 0.5k Beer Dash!

And yes, you read that correctly. This is a zero-point-five-kilometer (0.5k) event, a fun run around Schenk Lake. Head out around the Schenk Lake 'course' and back: just try not to spill your beer, it's bad for the grass! Go whatever pace you like - no matter what there’s a beer waiting for you at the finish line! The winners will be determined by a combination of their time and by the amount left in their mug.

Awards

1st through 3rd place for both men's and women's divisions.

Registration Details

• Registration Fee: 20$
• Registration Time: Begins at 10am at the Rathskeller, Hess Shelter.
• Course Information: This is an open course, meaning the course will NOT be closed.
• ID Requirement: You must bring a valid ID or driver’s license.

Event Guidelines

• Age Restrictions: You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a non-alcoholic beverage)
• Weather: We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.
• Starting Time: The fun-run starts at 11am, registration will begin at 10am.
• Arrival: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to start time.
