About this race
Race Overview
The Fast and the Furriest 5K, benefitting Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, will be held at Webb Bridge Park in Alpharetta, GA.
Event Details
- Date: 2026-10-18
- Location: 4780 Webb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA
- Activities: Pre- and post-race activities on the green space between the baseball fields.
- Parking: Park by the Playground for the closest parking.
Participation
The Fast and the Furriest is for runners, walkers, and their dogs! We are excited to offer a 5K race AND a 5K walk for athletes, beginners, and kids alike, while raising money to save lives!
Course Information
- Support: This course will have an aid & water station along the route (which you will pass 3 times!) for participants and their dogs.
- Family Friendly: Children and strollers are welcome.
- Included: Each competitor receives a custom race t-shirt and post-race snacks.
- Goal: The Fast and the Furriest is perfect for runners and walkers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs and cats in Georgia.

Top 3 Female & Male in each category:
- 10 and under
- 11 to 19
- 20 to 29
- 30 to 39
- 40 to 49
- 50 to 59
- 60 to 69
- 70 and over
Plus, special prizes for Overall Male and Female and Overall Masters Male and Female. All canine finishers get a prize, too!

Weather Policy
The Fast and the Furriest will happen rain or shine. In the event of severe weather making it unsafe for participants, the event will be canceled. Once you are registered, there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments if cancelled due to weather.
