Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST 2025: A Celebration of Strength and Community

Join us for the 7th annual Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST, on April 26, 2025, at Friedman Park in Newburgh. This heartwarming community event is dedicated to all those touched by cancer—survivors, patients, caregivers, family, friends, and co-workers.

🌟 Event Highlights

• 5K Run/Walk: Start the day off right with a 5K through the scenic park, beginning at 8:30 am.
• Survivor’s Parade: Celebrate our cancer warriors in the signature Survivor's Parade, starting at 10:30 am.
• 1-Mile Walk: Continue the celebration with a fun 1-mile walk, starting at 11:00 am.
• Cruise-In Car Show: Enjoy some cool cars and great company.

🍔 Food and Fun

• Food Trucks: Treat your taste buds to a variety of delicious options.
• Kids Activities: Face painting, inflatables, and more for the younger attendees!
• Rain or Shine: The event will take place regardless of weather conditions.
• No Refunds: Please note there are no refunds once registered.

👕 T-shirts and Medals

• Participants: All 5K, 1-mile walk registrations, and Survivor’s Parade participants will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!
• Medals: Finishing medals will be given to SURVIVORS ONLY.

🚶‍♂️ Can I Walk the 5K?

Yes, just no pets, please!

👶 Child Registration

Ages 3 and under are free to participate.

🏆 Awards

Awards: Overall Male/Female will receive $100 cash prize. Age groups Top 3 Male / Top 3 Female will receive placement awards: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

📦 Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will begin on Tuesday, April 22, and continue until Thursday, April 24th, during office hours 9AM-3PM. NO PICK UP ON FRIDAY APRIL 25TH! Please try to pick up before the day of the event.

🕒 Registration Check-In on Event Day

If you did not pick up your race packet in advance, please check in at the registration tables before the start times. The registration table will be located near the race start area. 5K check-in will begin at 7:45 AM and end at 8:20 AM. 1-mile walkers and Survivor’s Parade must check-in/register by 10:00 AM.

⏱️ Timing

The race will be officially timed by Tempo Run Timing.
