Cures for the Colors Glow Run

The 2026 Cures for the Colors Glow Run will be held on November 7, 2026. There will be a timed and untimed 5K option, as well as an untimed 1-mile fun run and a virtual event option for people that can't make it the day of the race. The 1-mile fun run starts at 5:30 PM and the 5K starts at 6:15 PM. Registration will open the afternoon of the race at 4:15 PM.

• Cost: $30 through October 2nd
• Cost: $35 beginning October 3rd

1-Mile Fun Run

• Cost: $20 through October 2nd
• Cost: $25 beginning October 3rd

Virtual 5K

• Cost: $25 through race day

To guarantee a t-shirt, you must register by 10/2/26.

Purpose

All proceeds will be used to give people battling cancer in Eastern North Carolina a little extra help today while they fight for their tomorrow.

Awards

The top 3 female finishers, the top 3 male finishers, and the top 3 finishers under 18 will receive a race medal. The awards ceremony will be held after all participants have completed the race.

Virtual Participation

Virtual participants will run at a course of your choosing, including on a treadmill. Virtual participants can run (or walk) anytime anywhere on November 7, 2026. The virtual run will not be officially timed, but by using the RaceJoy app, you can receive a GPS-based time which will automatically submit your time for you. There will be an online leaderboard showing everyone's times. Virtual participants will receive a certificate and event t-shirt.
