🏃‍♀️ 2025 Minute Man Race Overview

The Westport Young Woman’s League will be hosting its 46th annual Minute Man Race on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the famed Compo Beach.

The well-loved event attracts runners and walkers both locally and regionally, and takes place on the scenic Compo Beach and surrounding coastal neighborhood, in the peak of spring.

The event consists of a certified USA Track and Field 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk. The Kids Fun Run will include a 50 yard dash (Ages 3-5), 100 yard dash (Ages 6-7), 1/2 mile (Ages 8-9), 1 mile (Ages 10-12) featuring a Kids Zone during and after the race. Race net proceeds will directly benefit charities located in lower Fairfield County, CT and Westport, CT.

📅 Event Details and Schedule

Pre Race Registration and Bib Pick Up

• Location: Performance Optimal Health, 508 Westport Avenue, Westport, CT 0681
• Dates: Thursday, April 24th, 5-8pm: Saturday, April 26th, 9am-1pm.
• Day-Of Race Registration: Compo Beach 7-8am ONLY

Race Day

• Adult race warm-ups: begin at 8:00 am next to the Pavilion near the Start Line
• 5K Run/Walk: 8:30 am at South Compo Beach
• 10K Run: 8:40 am at South Compo Beach
• Kids Fun Run: first age group starts at 8:30 am at the baseball field near the marina

🏅 Race Details

• Age Requirement: For 10K Run and 5K Run/Walk, all participants under 13 must participate with an adult.
• Kids Fun Run: parents must be present during the race: no drop-offs.

🚗 Parking Information

Park in the designated area in the Compo Beach lot or in the adjacent Soundview dirt lot. If you pick up your bib on race day, please arrive early as the Compo Beach parking lot will be very busy.

🧥 What to Wear

The race is held rain or shine and it may be chilly early in the morning. Please dress accordingly.
