🏃‍♂️ Mighty Mountain Run - 5K/10K Overview

• Registration Deadline: Online Registration closes on Friday, May 9 at 12pm.
• In-Person Registration: YOU CAN REGISTER IN PERSON BETWEEN 7AM-8AM RACE DAY.
• Purpose: Fundraiser for camper scholarships at Caraway Conference Center and Camps located in Sophia, NC.
• Location: 4756 Caraway Mountain Rd, Sophia, NC, about 8 miles west of Asheboro.

🏞️ Trail Details

• Elevation: Conquer the Mighty Mountain with an over 400 ft elevation climb!
• Trail Type: Scenic and well-maintained trail with rolling hills, gravel, asphalt, and wooded paths.
• Scenery: Experience trails near a beautiful hardwood forest by a lake.
• Timing: Professional Chip Timing will be provided.

🏆 Awards and Perks

• Trophies: Awarded to Top Finishers.
• Medals: Awarded to All Participants.
• Age Group Awards: For Top Age Group Finishers.
• T-shirt: Free Race t-shirt if you register by April 1st.

🛶 Scholarship Impact

• Purpose: Fundraiser to help children and families attend camp who cannot afford it.
• Programs: Scholarships may be used for various retreats and camps such as father-son retreats and Winter Camp.
• Year-Round Venue: Caraway and Mundo Vista serve guests for retreats, conferences, and day programs.

🌄 The Mighty Mountain 5K

• Course Type: Well-maintained trail of rolling hills, gravel, and asphalt.
• Scenic Views: Features beautiful views from the top of Longarm Ridge.
• Returners: This year’s route will be similar to the one from two races ago.
• Participant Type: The perfect race for both runners and walkers.

⛰️ The Mighty Mountain 10K

• New Addition: Introducing the Mighty Mountain 10K with two mountains to tackle.
• Elevation Gain: Around 350ft of elevation in the first 1.5 miles.
• Trail Features: Gravel road, single track dirt/rocky trail, and scenic views.
• Walking Policy: Strict walking of the whole 10K course is strongly discouraged: mixed running/walking is permitted.
