About Christopher Mang

• Legacy: This event is held in memory of Christopher Mang who passed away in May of 2018.
• Contribution: Chris was a longtime participant in the Skagit County Special Olympics Program.
• Volunteering: Recently volunteered at a number of Northwest Endurance Events running events.
• Personality: Known for his big personality and a passion for helping others – he was a friend to everyone he met.

• Partnership: The Mang/Glesne family and the Skagit Valley Family YMCA have partnered to establish the Christopher Mang Memorial Fund.
• Use of Funds: Registration fees from the event will be donated to Chris’ Memorial Fund.
• Support: The fund supports recreational programming and equipment to benefit under-served youth and families, as well as those with special needs in the Skagit Valley.
• Inspiration: Inspired by one of his favorite songs by the Beatles, we hope you will consider a gift to the fund as an expression of love for others in our community: “All you need is love.”
