Please join us for our 30th year as we honor our fallen law enforcement heroes. These officers have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our city and its people.

👮‍♂️ Remembering Our Heroes

Ron Dean #551: Fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant on December 16, 1992.
Dewayne Williams #904: Fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant on March 3, 1993.
Law Enforcement Support: Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams were supporters of Special Olympics during their law enforcement careers.
Annual Participation: Shreveport Police Officers and others participate to honor all fallen law enforcement officers.

Funds Raised: All funds raised are donated to Special Olympics Louisiana.
Date: Saturday, April 18th, 2026.
Fun Run/Walk: 1/2 mile starts at 8:00 a.m.
5K Run: Starts at 8:30 a.m.

💰 Registration Info

Early Registration Fee: $25.00 until April 3rd.
Late Registration Fee: $30.00 from April 4th - April 17th.
Race Day Fee: $35.00.
Registration Location: Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport with cash, check, or credit card.

😴 Sleep-In Supporter Option

Don’t feel like getting up and running? Be a sleep-in supporter. You still get a shirt and you don’t have to break a sweat to get it!!

📦 Race Packet Details

Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2026 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt. Shirts will be limited to the first 300, so please register early.

Packet Pickup: Early at Sportspectrum on April 16th from 10 a.m.—6 p.m. and April 17th from 10 a.m.—5:30 p.m.
Race Day Pickup: 7:00—8:15 a.m. at the race site.

🏁 Course Description

The race will begin near the Veterans Memorial on the Clyde Fant Parkway. Runners will head north on the Parkway to the Police/ Fireman’s Memorial, turn around, and head back to the finish.

🏆 Awards

Overall Male & Female will receive awards. 1st & 2nd age group winners receive awards. Categories include Male & Female 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.

👮 Law Enforcement Awards

Overall Male & Female from law enforcement will receive awards. 1st & 2nd age group winners receive awards in categories Male & Female 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.
