Tribute to Our Heroes

• Honoring Fallen Heroes: Join us for our 30th year as we honor our fallen law enforcement heroes. These officers have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our city and its people.
• Remembering Ron Dean: Ron Dean #551 was fatally wounded on December 16, 1992, while serving a search warrant for narcotics.
• Remembering Dewayne Williams: Dewayne Williams #904 was fatally wounded on March 3, 1993, while serving a search warrant for narcotics.
• Support for Special Olympics: Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams were supporters of Special Olympics during their law enforcement careers.

Event Details

• Starting Times: 1/2 mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:00 a.m.: 5K Run starts at 8:30 a.m.
• Location: The race will begin near the Veterans Memorial on the Clyde Fant Parkway.
• Course: Runners will head north on the Parkway to the Police/Fireman’s Memorial turnaround and head back to the finish.
• Awards: Overall Male & Female winners receive awards, along with 1st & 2nd place age group winners.

Registration Information

• Early Registration Fee: $25.00 until April 3rd
• Registration Fee: $30.00 from April 4th to April 17th
• Race Day Fee: $35.00
• Location: Register at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport, with cash, check, or credit card.

Race Packet

• Official T-Shirt: Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2026 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt.
• Limited Availability: Shirts will be limited to the first 300 registrants, so please register early.
• Packet Pickup: Early Pickup on April 16th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 17th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Sportspectrum.
• Race Day Pickup: Available from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. at the race site.

• Age Categories: Awards for Male & Female 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.
• Course Restrictions: Under RRCA regulations, no baby joggers, bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades allowed. No dogs on course.
• Health & Safety: Please adhere to all race day guidelines for a safe experience.
