OVERVIEW

Put on your cape and become a hero for families in need at the Superhero 5k! This exciting event encourages participants to dress up as their favorite superheroes while running or walking through the scenic UCF campus. Join us for a fun-filled day that combines fitness, community spirit, and support for a great cause!

CAUSE

All proceeds from the Superhero 5k will benefit the Abilities Workshop and their "LoveABLE" program, which provides essential support to special needs families facing crises. Your participation will directly contribute to making a positive impact in our community.

EVENT ACTIVITIES

• Costumes: Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes to promote fun and camaraderie.
• Community Engagement: Enjoy family-friendly activities, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with others.
• Incentives: All participants receive a race t-shirt and a finisher's medal.
• Participation: Whether you run, walk, or cheer, your involvement makes a difference.

DAY OF EVENT SCHEDULE

7:00 a.m.: Registration & Pre-Registration Opens

8:00 a.m.: 5K Race Start

TEE SHIRTS

Shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants before November 25th. Once a shirt is sold out, it will be marked as sold out. Shirts are not guaranteed on race day.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK-UP

AWARDS

• General Registrations: Top 3 Males and Top 3 Females, along with age group awards.
• Age Groups: Includes categories from 6 & under to 90+ years.
• Special Athletes: Top 3 Special Athletes will receive awards.

FAQ

• Timing & Scoring: Race will be timed with a disposable chip provided at registration.
• Course Length: The 5K is 3.1 miles.
• Official Results: Results posted for top runners in each category.
• Emergency Help: Qualified medical professionals are available at the start/finish lines.

DOGS & STROLLERS

• Dogs: Yes, you can participate with your dog.
• Strollers: Yes, but please start in the latter part of the runners.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Water Stations: Water will be available on the course and at the finish.
• No Refunds: No money will be returned under any circumstances.
• Rain or Shine: The race will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
• Late Arrivals: Runners arriving after 8:00 a.m. will not be timed.
