Community Free Clinic Spirit of America 5 miler and Fun Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Date: June 27, 2026
• Location: 2901 Point Mallard Dr SE, Decatur, AL
• Start Times: 5 Mile at 7am, Fun Run at approximately 8:10am
• Registration: Early registration is encouraged to guarantee shirt size.

📅 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Friday evening from 5-6:30pm at Crossed Eyed Owl Pub, 105 1st Av NE, Decatur, AL 35601.
• Race Day Sign-Up: $40 for 5 Mile from 6am to 6:45am at the small pavilion trailhead by the pickleball building.
• Awards Ceremony: Race Day Awards at 8:15am.
• 5 Mile Course: Starts on the road in front of the parking lot, circles Spirit Field, and follows service road along the golf course.

🏅 Race Details

• Course: 2.4 miles of paved road and 2.6 miles of firm crushed gravel trail.
• Water Stations: One water station to be passed twice.
• Timing: The 5 Mile will be a chip-timed race: timing chip will be attached to your bib.
• Awards: Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and age group awards for various categories.

🚫 Parking Information

• Parking Areas: Please park in the water park lot or spots along the Spirit Field.
• Prohibition: DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT BETWEEN THE PICKLE BALL BUILDING AND THE EVENT CENTER.

👟 Fun Run Details

• Course: A loop on the park road and trail.
• Timing: The Fun Run is not chip timed.
• Awards: No awards for the Fun Run.
