📅 Race Day Details

• Registration Time: Race Day Registration begins at 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 8th.
• Location: New AU Trojan Football HQ at 431 Williamston Road in Anderson.
• Parking: Signs will direct you for parking and registration. Please do not park behind the stadium as the road will be closed.
• Main Lot: Park in the main lot at 431 Williamston Road.

🏆 Event Overview

• Organizer: This event is brought to you by Friends of Boys State (FOBS), Anderson University, and local sponsors.
• Purpose: Supporting scholarships and program elements for Palmetto Boys State.
• Date & Location: The run will take place at the Anderson University Sports Complex on Saturday morning, June 8th, 2024.
• Course: Unique cross country course featuring natural surfaces, uneven ground, paved areas, and a Start/Finish in Trojan Football Stadium.

👟 Legacy and Inspiration

• Past Events: Many local runners have participated in our previous events including the Run To Remember: CPT David Hortman 5K and The FOBS 5K.
• Honoring Dave Hortman: The event began in June 2012 following the passing of Dave Hortman, a decorated U.S. Army Captain.
• His Vision: Dave inspired others to be physically fit and support the leadership program he loved, Palmetto Boys State.
• Ongoing Legacy: His legacy continues to inspire us today.

• Join Us: You are invited to support Palmetto Boys State!
• Awards: Event prizes will be awarded for both Male and Female participants in many age groups.
• Team Award: A Team Award will be given for the Largest Group affiliation.
• T-Shirt: A performance T-Shirt will be included with your Run registration.
